Here’s a collection that would make a fun gift for any “300” fan: a sword and shield combo set. Since no display stands or hooks are included, it seems this set would be best suited to complement a Spartan warrior getup.
The sword is decent quality, though. It’s full-tang, made of 420 stainless steel, and factory sharpened. Genuine leather cord is tightly wrapped around the handle for a secure grip, protecting the metal handle base from additional wear and tear.
And how about that shield? It weighs in at 12 pounds! The straps on the back aren’t the most authentic since they’re made from Velcro, but they’ll be adjustable at least. King Leonidas might mind, but you probably won’t.
The rest of the shield is made from poly cast resin on the front and heavy metal on the back. Indentations and stress marks have been added to the front design to make it look like you’ve just carried it off the battlefield.
Overall, it’s a decent set for a decent price, sure to please any “300” aficionado.
