Any knife that is made by Benchmade will be of high quality. They’ve been a leader in the knife industry for years now.
For this particular model, Mel Pardue and Warren Osborne, two well-known custom knife makers, have come together to design and produce a great piece.
The adjustable lock mechanism allows you to adjust whether the it’s manual or spring-assisted.
The blade is 3.40 inches, the thickness is 0.120 inches and it’s made from 154CM stainless steel. It also has a 4.39 in. molded scale handle for extra comfort.
The clip is removable and with a weight of only 4.5 ounces you can carry this at all times.
This would be a great addition for anyone who loves a great knife.

Great review. This knife is not necessarily adjustable in the “speed” of opening, but that you can remove the spring and make it a manual folder, or a spring-assist folder. They now offer a new spring-assist called the “Nitrous” which is brilliant. Take care.

Benchmade is, without a doubt my knife of choice (when I have the cash on hand to afford one
) I have had several of their 154CM steel knives (notably, this is the steel that is used in Jet Turbines.) I have been impressed with their ability to take and retain an edge far more so than ATS34 or similar steels. The only assisted opening knife I have had (other than some cheap switchblades in highschool
) has been by Kershaw though. am really excited to try out one from Benchmade. Another thing I really like about benchmades is that many of them are open along the back edge to let lint “flow through.” I am guessing with the spring assist, that this knife is closed along the back. Anyone know?
Again, however, I can’t rave enough about my experience wit the 154CM. I am currently trying out one of their S30V steel models (higher vanadium), and will keep you posted on the results.
