Boker Bud Nealy Tanto Knife | Stainless Steel Blade, Micarta Handle

47 sec read

Boker Bud Nealy Tanto Knife Bud Nealy is a professional musician turned master knife maker. He began knife-making nearly thirty years ago, as a hobby, and has made knives his full-time job for the past two decades. His designs are renowned around the world, and he is perhaps most celebrated for his innovative MCS System – a sheath offering a plethora of options for carry, from around the neck, to in the boot, to on the belt.

This Boker Bud Nealy is made from stainless steel with a tanto point and plain edge. Tanto point blades – more specifically, westernized tanto style blades like this one – are inspired from Japanese designs, but not entirely traditional. They are typically very strong, due to the thickness of the blade at the point, and this knife is no exception. The black scales of the handle are made from micarta, a very strong and attractive composite of linen laminate, and held onto the tang with three rivets. The blade is stamped with the Bud Nealy/Boker logo.

This knife is a bit pricey, but the materials are a good quality and the designer – Bud Nealy – is one of the best out there. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this knife.
