The Gator is a good name for this one — it even looks like a Gator.
That and the fact that it was featured in “Man vs. Wild” and it’s got quite a reputation to live up to.
The blade measures 3.75″ inches and features a combo serrated/straight edge with a clip point for extra sharpness in the tip.
It’s made of 420HC steel, which is a good choice for a knife in this price range. Not as high-end as VG-10 or ATS-34, but certainly better than the cheap 440A used in some knives.
The handle is a non-slip Kraton with an interesting contour. It’s got a pretty pronounced finger guard, so make sure you’re okay with that before purchasing.
The lockback mechanism is rock-solid. It also includes a sheath.
