U.S. Divers Titanium Diving Knife | Fixed Blade Spear Point Blade

U.S. Divers Titanium Diving Knife | Fixed Blade Spear Point BladeU.S. Divers is one of America’s oldest dive companies and has been equipping scuba divers, snorkelers, and skin divers with their gear for over fifty years. They know the business of serious diving. This full tang, titanium, clip point, 5-inch straight-blade dive knife keeps with their long tradition: durable, dependable, and stylish.

The spine is serrated and there is a line cutter near the base of the blade — two important attributes of a dive knife. The butt-cap is stainless steel for use as a tank signal. Because the blade is made of titanium, the knife has less weight and will hold up against corrosion longer than the stainless-steel variety with little sacrifice in the sharpness of the edge. And, to insure proper care, this knife completely disassembles for cleaning, so wiping off that gunk and salt which can accumulate around the guard is made much easier. The quick-release sheath is attachable to a leg or an ankle, to allow distance from your BCD and regulator.

This is a pretty great dive knife. When all you want is a beer after a long day of diving, cleaning off your gear thoroughly can be a long process. I really like how this knife comes apart to ensure a quick rinse is all it takes. And I don’t know how many times I’ve forgotten to clean my knife. After all my other gear, the knife just seems to get lost somewhere in the pile. But with the titanium blade it will be okay to forget once in a while and the blade will still last.
