This OTF (or “out the front”) tactical knife features a 3.25-inch blade made from 440 stainless steel in a satin finish. It has a simple plain edge that comes to a drop point, and shows the word “Lightning” engraved on the display side. When extended, the blade makes this knife measure 8 inches in overall length.
The handle is extremely lightweight, made from hardened aluminum with a black powder-coat finish. Textured surfacing has been added as well to make holding on to this small knife a lot easier. Six small machine screws hold the handle in place.
The blade shoots open via an aluminum double-action firing button on the side of the handle, not the top. Some switchblade owners prefer this method, as it makes the knife able to fit into slimmer areas. It’s used both to open and close the knife.
Even though it’s pretty thin, the knife still comes with a removable belt or pocket clip in case you’d rather wear it outside your attire. Either way, you’ll like having a little automatic Lightning by your side.
