Lord Of the Rings Aragorn’s Sword Anduril of King Elessar | LOTR Replica

52 sec read

Lord Of the Rings Aragorn?s SwordAragorn’s sword from Peter Jackson’s famed Lord Of the Rings trilogy is perhaps the most well known sword in the films. It is Anduril, Sword of King Elessar, the “Flame of the West, forged from the shards of Narsil.”

The most notable feature of the sword is its blade, engraved in J.R.R. Tolkien’s developed language of Quenya. In Eregion runes, it reads (translated), “I am Anduril who was Narsil, the sword of Elendil. Let the thralls of Mordor flee me.”

In layman’s terms, that just means that the Anduril sword is fit for a hero, or a king for that matter. Its blade is made from quality stainless steel and measures an impressive 40.625 inches long. Overall, the sword measures 52.875 inches long, perfect for two-handed greatsword enthusiasts as well.

The extensive handle is wooden, wrapped with genuine leather for a secure grip. The cross-guard is made from solid metal in an antiqued silver finish, as is the sword’s pommel inscribed with additional Eregion runes.

The sword is displayed on an included wall mount ornamented with the Tree of Gondor at Minas Tirith, a symbol of heraldry highly recognizable in the Lord Of the Rings trilogy series to strengthen and encourage the cities of men.

And as if all that weren’t fit enough for a kingly warrior already, check out the fittings on the handle crafted from 24-karat gold.
