Puma Catamount Knife | Stainless Steel Drop Point Fixed Blade, Stag Handle

43 sec read

Puma Catamount Knife The first thing that struck me about this full tang knife is the attractive stag handle. This is genuine stag, not a replicate, and therefore no two Puma Catamount knives will be exactly the same. Like a fingerprint, every antler-turned-handle will have distinct lines and shades. Stainless steel accents marked with the Puma logo really complement the blade, as does the black full-grain leather of the sheath. Unique knives like this one make excellent gifts, especially when made with quality materials in every aspect.

The Catamount’s 3-mm thick, 3-inch plain edge drop point blade is made with 440C high carbon Solingen stainless steel, Rockwell tested to 57-60 HRC hardness. This is a strong blade that will hold up nicely against wear and tear. 440C takes a fine edge well, with decent retention against heavy use, and the high chromium content is terrific for corrosion resistance.

The Catamount has an overall length of 8″ and an overall weight of 4.5 ounces. A lanyard hole on the handle offers options for carry. At such a reasonable price, you’re getting a knife with tons of quality: the blade steel is great, the handle is very attractive, and the knife is functional, while also a great addition to any collection.
