The Winder Sogwinder I from SOG Knives features a drop point Bowie blade that is exceptionally thick for a folding knife. This ensures that you don’t have to worry about strength and durability. But if you’re looking for the lightest folding knife on the market, this is not the right one for you.
The 6.5 inche blade is made of 440A stainless steel. This is not the highest-end steel, but is acceptable for most uses. It’s hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 56-57, which means that it can be made quite sharp.
The stainless steel blade is augmented by welded steel bolsters for strength, and it is housed in a high performance Kraton handle that is specially textured to maximize grip.
The knife also features ambidextrous thumb studs for ease of use in any position. The Sogwinder I is a great knife for multipurpose and outdoor utility use.
