This knife set seems to be no exception — it’s no Wusthof but maybe you don’t need the cachet that comes with one of those high-end names.
The blades are made of a mid-range stainless steel. They won’t be the sharpest knives, nor will they hold their edges exceptionally long but in this price range you could do a lot worse.
This set includes an eight inch chef’s knife, an eight inch slicer, a 3.5 inch parer, a 5 inch utility knife, a small four inch Santoku, an eight inch bread knife, a honing steel, 6 steak knives and wood block for storage.
At OnlyKnives, we’re partial to the Forschner knives in this low-end price range, but OXO is a safe bet as well.
